Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp.

 Song: Zemer Atik

Shalom, and Welcome to our website about Israel and Israeli/Hebrew Folk Dance.

My name is Curtis.  My wife, Carolyn, and I have been public school teachers for 30+ years.  I taught 8th grade Math until I retired in December 2004.  Carolyn teaches high school Spanish.

When we first graduated from college, we wanted to get involved in a local church and since we were both school teachers, church leaders just naturally assumed we’d want to work with kids and youth, which we did for several years.  But then suddenly God opened the door that brought us into Praise & Worship Ministry.  I served as Minister of Music for 20+ years at several churches.

It was during this time that God began to open our eyes to the fact that dance was scriptural and that it needed to be restored to the church as an integral part of our praise and worship experience.

Since those days in the mid 1980s, we’ve had the opportunity to start four Israeli Folk Dance troupes that met in churches in Catawba and Lincoln Counties in North Carolina.  We’ve also taught at Zion Center for the Worship & Arts and Resurrection Dance Ministry in Charlotte, NC.

Whether you’re a beginning dancer or an advanced one, Israeli Folk Dance will be a tremendous blessing in your life.  The Lord has opened up the doors for so many types of dance in the church … from Ballet, to Modern, to Interpretive, to Israeli/Hebrew.  My favorite is Israeli/Hebrew Folk, because almost anyone can do it, regardless of sex or age.

Thanks for checking out our web site.  Hope you find what you’re looking for.  Blessings to you in Messiah, Yeshua.

2002 Performance Dance to the song "Latter Days" by Barry and Batya Segal
at Covenant Bible Church in Lincolnton, NC.

The song speaks of all the nations going up to Israel during the millennial reign of Yeshua to worship Him
during the Feast of Tabernacles.
