Shalom, and Welcome to the
Beit Yeshua
website about Israel, Israeli Folk Dance and the
Biblical Festivals. God is restoring the "listening"
church to its Biblical Hebraic Roots and this website shows
the numerous areas of ministry we've been involved in over
the years.
My name is Curtis. My wife,
Carolyn, and I have been public school teachers for 30+
years since we graduated from college in the mid-1970s. I taught 8th grade Math until I retired in
December 2004. Carolyn currently teaches high school Spanish.
When we
first graduated from college, we wanted to get involved in a
local church and since we were both school teachers, church
leaders just naturally assumed we’d want to work with kids
and youth, which we did for a number of years.
Eventually God opened the door that brought us into Praise &
Worship Ministry and I served as Minister of Music for 20+
years at several churches in Catawba County, NC.
It was during this time that
God began to open our eyes to the fact that dance was
scriptural and that it needed to be restored to the church
as an integral part of our praise and worship experience.
Our eyes were opened to the beauty of the Biblical Festivals
and how they so specifically paint a portrait of Messiah
Yeshua (Jesus).
Since those days in the mid
1980s, we’ve had the opportunity to start four Israeli Folk Dance troupes
that have met in churches in Catawba and Lincoln Counties in North Carolina.
We've taught at Zion
Center for the Worship & Arts and Resurrection Dance
Ministry in Charlotte, NC and ministered in dance at
churches throughout the western part of the state.
Beit Yeshua (House of Salvation) was organized as a small
Hebraic-Roots fellowship in August 2001 to give those in the
Catawba/Lincoln County area an opportunity to learn about
and observe the Biblical Festivals. Doug Williams & I
co-lead the group that currently meets twice monthly on
Friday evenings to enjoy Shabbat, study & discuss the Torah,
pray, worship & dance, fellowship and eat together.
Our meeting schedule revolves around the Biblical Festival
Calendar and we meet in a larger venue when observing the
festivals in order to give others in the surrounding cities,
counties and states an opportunity to join with us.
As the years have passed, the Lord has "expanded our
borders" as we've had the opportunity to (1) teach
Jewish-Roots classes & seminars, (2) share Passover Seders
at various churches & the local college, and (3) lead
Israeli Folk Dance at conferences in Charlotte & Black
Mountain, NC.

spark within you to understand & experience all that God has
for you. Blessings
in Messiah, Yeshua.
