Da'na Mathis & Mark Motto

Da'na Frances Mathis and Mark Joseph Motto were married on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Forest City Clubhouse, 141 Westview Street, Forest City, North Carolina

The chupa is carried in then Da'na and her attendants enter

She danced around each of her attendants, presenting each of them with a rose...

Da'na walked the traditional seven times around Mark...

They were addressed by the Rabbi    ...   and moved under the Chupa

...their vows were exchanged

The Ketuba was read...
... and the traditional cup of wine was drunk

The traditional wedding blessings were read ...
...and Mark stomped the glass, "Mazel Tov"

... Mr. & Mrs. Mark Motto

Curtis was one of the two witnesses to sign the Ketuba

The Reception & Dancing

The reception was held inside the Forest City Clubhouse.
A live Jewish Klezmer band, Freylach Time", provided music for the evening.

Almost everyone came to dance!

Da'na had asked Curtis to lead the dancing.

The circle began to move around the room

It didn't take long before Mark & Da'na were up dancing, too

Everyone danced ... and danced ... and danced.
Many of these folks would rather dance than eat!

Hine Ma Tov ... Hava Nagila ... Od Ye Shama ... Tsadik Katimar ... Mikamocha ... Zemer Atik
Were just a few of the dances for the evening

As the Bride & Groom were seated in the center of the room, the men gathered around them.  Mark seemed to be thinking, "I'm not so sure about this!"

As the music started again, Up they go!

The men moved in a circle as the music plays...

...the ladies made a second circle around the couple and began to dance

Od Yi Shama

"Od yi-shama be-arei yehudah, Uve chozot yerushalaim,
"Od yi-shama be-arei yehudah, Uve chozot yerushalaim.

Kol sasson, ve kol simcha, Kol chatan, ve kol kalah,
Kol sasson, ve kol simcha, Kol chatan, ve kol kalah."

"A song shall be heard in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem,
A song shall be heard in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem.

A voice of joy, and a voice of gladness, A voice of the bridegroom, And a voice of the bride,
A voice of joy, and a voice of gladness, A voice of the bridegroom, And a voice of the bride."
