Pesach/Passover 2002

Pesach/Passover is one of the seven festivals of the Lord mentioned in Leviticus 23.  It is the first of the Spring festivals, occurring in March or April each year.  In scripture, this date would be Nissan 14.

Pesach is the festival that brings to remembrance the deliverance of the Children of Israel from their slavery in Egypt.

Beit Yeshua's first Pesach Seder was in 2002 at the home of Curtis & Carolyn Loftin.  There were 13 in attendance at this first Seder.

The 2002 Seder was not a full-Seder - there was no complete meal and the entire Haggadah liturgy was not followed.  The Pesach Seder plate, however, was filled with the required elements: Parsley, Salt Water, Charoset, Horseradish & the Shank-bone of a lamb.  The group also shared matzah and grape juice.

Curtis shared about Pesach/Passover with the small group and led them in the mini-Seder.  There were no photos taken at this first Seder, but some of those who were attending at time are pictured below.
