Beit Shofarot

Beit Shofarot is a Messianic Congregation in the China Grove (Landis), NC, area.  They are a Charismatic Messianic Synagogue with a sweet spirit and wonderful Jewish liturgies during their services. Rabbi Yossi is the Congregational Leader.  They meet every Shabbat morning - as well as for all the Biblical Festivals and Jewish memorial days.

Beit Yeshua

Beit Yeshua is a Messianic/Jewish-Roots Group that was established in August 2001 as a "home-group" associated with Covenant Bible Church in Lincolnton, NC.  Adopting the name Beit Yeshua (House of Salvation), it has become (1) a place to embrace His presence through, Torah study (Original & New Covenants), praise & worship, song & dance, flags & banners, shofarot & musical instruments, (2) a place to study and learn about the Jewish-Roots of Christianity and observe the Biblical Festivals & Shabbat, (3) a place from which to bless Israel - through prayer and financial giving, (4) a place from which to teach other churches, groups and organizations about our Jewish-Roots, the Festivals & our responsibility & obligation to Israel and the Jewish people, (5) a place from which to work with and support other Messianic and Jewish-Roots Ministries, and (6) a place from where to share the good news about Yeshua Ha'Mashiach.  Curtis & Doug are the leaders of the group.

Bill Cloud is and international teacher, minister and Director of Shoreshim Ministries. Bill teaches on the Jewish-Roots of Christianity.  "Without an adequate root system to supply water and nutrients, a tree would slowly wither and die. If water is a picture of the Word of God (Ephesians 5:26), then roots are symbolic of the heart by which the life-blood of the believer is pumped throughout the Body. We feel that the times in which we live dictate that men and women must determine to learn, live and speak the truth as never before. Our very lives may one day depend upon it.  While the roots are not the most attractive part of the tree, they are nevertheless the most critical. As we know, truth polarizes; there is no “in-between” and, sadly, not everyone wants to hear the truth (2 Timothy 4:3-4). Yet declaring, hearing and internalizing the truth of God’s Word provides the means by which believers can mature into a tree "planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season" (Psalm 1:3). We must be rooted in the Word so that we will not be “blown about by every wind of doctrine” (Ephesians 4:14)  The diversity and uniqueness of the hundreds of branches that can comprise one tree only become “one” (the trunk) as they move back toward the roots of the tree. With so many versions of Christianity and the varying interpretations of Scripture muddying the theological waters, the need to return to our roots and to understand the eternal validity of God’s Torah has become obvious. This need is, in fact, evidence of the “restoration of all things” that the Scripture has predicted “since the world began” (Acts 3:21)"

Cohen, Chuck

Chuck Cohen is Director and Board Member of INTERCESSORS FOR ISRAEL based in Jerusalem.  He travels extensively around the world in prayer ministry, leading prayer teams to strategic places to defend Israel among the nations, open doors for evangelism and aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel).  He imparts the message to the "watchmen on the walls" to take their positions in this day of battle to prepare the way for the Lord’s return.  Chuck preaches, teaches and writes about the God-given commission of Believers in Yeshua ha Mashiach to stand with Israel and the Jewish people.  He is involved with several international conferences in Jerusalem and has been featured on Christian television and radio programs.  He and his wife, Karen, have written Roots of Our Faith, a study of the Old Testament (Tanach) foundations of New Testament doctrine.

Highway To Zion hosted journalist David Dolan on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Raintree Country Club, 8600 Raintree Lane, Charlotte, NC 28277.  David shared part of his personal story - about the 3 books he has written - and gave an update about things concerning Israel.

David Dolan is a Jerusalem-based author and journalist who travels and speaks extensively about current events in Israel as they pertain to God’s plans for the Jewish people and the unfolding of Biblical prophecy.  Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest United States, he has lived in Israel since 1980. After serving as News Director at the Voice of Hope Christian radio station in south Lebanon from 1982 until 1984, he reported from Jerusalem for CBN television and radio news, the Chicago-based Moody Broadcasting Network, and for 12 years with the American CBS radio network. He also writes regularly for many Christian and secular publications, including the Jerusalem Post.  He is the author of several books, including, HOLY WAR FOR THE PROMISED LAND, ISRAEL IN CRISIS:  WHAT LIES AHEAD?, THE END OF DAYS, and the recently released,  MILLENNIUM:  THE LORD REIGNS.

Machol Dancers

The Machol Dancers were founded in 2000 as the dance part of Covenant Bible Church's Sunday morning praise & worship.  As the years have passed, the dancers have danced at churches, ministries and conferences as well as Beit Yeshua's festival meetings.  The Machol Dancers are composed of men and women of all ages.  In Israel it's common to see men dancing (much more often then women) at the Western Wall, on Ben Yeshua Street, or any of the other locations there within the land.  May the Lord continue to move on the hearts of those who love HIm to totally submit their lives (and bodies) to Him in worship.

Vision For Israel

Barry and Batya Segal are the founding directors of a humanitarian aid center in Jerusalem. Their longing to help build and restore Israel inspired them to pioneer the non-profit charity organization, Vision for Israel & The Joseph Storehouse in 1994. The work currently functions as an international humanitarian aid center operating in the Judean Hills just outside of Jerusalem.  As a multi-faceted work, The Joseph Storehouse freely provides aid to the poor and needy people, both Jewish and Arab, living in the nation of Israel today. Many of them a are struggling as orphans and widows, homeless and handicapped, senior citizens and geriatric patients as well as new immigrants and finally, victims of terrorism and their families. Through the relief and assistance from Vision for Israel & The Joseph Storehouse; food, clothing, toiletries, kitchen and household items, blankets, towels, linens, and toys are some of the materials we distribute.

Wilbur, Paul

Paul Wilbur is a well know Messianic singer.  Paul first appeared on the public scene with the group Israel's Hope in the 1980s and produced several cassette tapes during that season including "Introducing Israel's Hope" and "Arise O Lord"both in 1987.  He was eventually selected by Hosanna Integrity Music to be one of the worship leaders on their well know Praise & Worship CDs - including  "Up to Zion" in 1991,  Shalom Jerusalem" in 1995, "Holy Fire" in 1997,and "Jerusalem Arise" in 1999.  Most recent CDs include "Lion of Judah" in 2001, "The Watchman" in 2005, "Paul Wilbur Live" in 2008and "Desert Rain" in 2010.

Zemer Levav

The Hanes Family, better known as Zemer Levav (Song of the Heart), was in concert Saturday, January 23rd at Beit Shofarot in Salisbury, NC.  Mark & Shimnit Hanes and their 5 daughters compose the group, but with one daughter recently married, another one off at college, the singing & music in currently composed of Mark, Shimnit and their middle daughter, Kerah.  There ministry is described as an Israeli style worship experience grounded in Scripture with music & dance from the land.  The Hanes sold their home in Florida several years ago and travel around the US ministering in song.  They also travel around the world with numerous trips to Israel.
