“Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God. “Speak kindly to Jerusalem; And call out to her, that her warfare has ended, that her iniquity has been removed, that she has received of the LORD’S hand double for all her sins.” A voice is calling, “Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. “Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the rough ground become a plain, and the rugged terrain a broad valley; Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”Beit Yeshua joined with Highway To Zion for a 2011 trip, tour and Sukkot Celebration in Israel. For many in the group, this was their first trip to Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel). Cathy Hargett of Highway To Zion in Charlotte, NC, planned and organized what turned out to be a WONDERFUL trip. With only 20 in the group, we moved quickly from place to place and had a 12-day experience (October 12 - 23)that was packed as we traveled from the Sea of Galilee & the Golan Heights in northern Israel, to Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Masadda and the Dead Sea. Cathy Hargett hosted the evening; Steve & Laurie Martin, of Love For His People, lead praise & worship; Curtis Loftin, from Beit Yeshua, lead Israeli Folk Dance; and Dr. Peter Wyns, of Antioch International Church, was the guest speaker for the evening. Cathy greets everyone and welcomes them to the assembly

About 50 friends from Beit Yeshua, Covenant and the community joined us for the rainy December evening. The shofarot were sounded, Hanukkah candles were lit, blessings were said over Shabbat candles as well as the bread and wine, and everyone sang the Sh'ma.
Gid led the group in praise & worship, joined by Adam on bass and Tim on the drums Israeli Folk Dancing is always part of the evening Chuck told the story of Hanukkah To see the video of Chuck telling the story of Hanukkah - CLICK HERE Guests listened as Chuck shared Thirteen people from Beit Yeshua joined with Highway to Zion for the 2011 Sukkot Trip to Israel.
The majority of the evening was used to share photos of the October trip.

The evening concluded with a time of Oneg - food and fellowship A special thanks to David for working with sound In the winter of 2009 - 2010 Beit Yeshua was approached with a gift of $15,000 worth of coats for the needy in Israel. It didn't take long for us to realize that Vision For Israel would the best distributor of these coats. In late 2009 the coats were inventoried and by early 2010 Beit Yeshua had moved the coats to the Vision For Israel warehouse in Charlotte, NC. Once in Charlotte, Doug, Paul, Chuck and Barry helped Timmy package the coats in boxes to be shipped to Israel. Timmy Bryant models two of the coats

Unfortunately it takes time and finances to move large crates of merchandise into Israel. Israel has limitations and restrictions on the type and amount of merchandise that can be shipped into the country to humanitarian aide organizations like Vision For Israel. After almost two year, the coats have been are heading out to Israel. The large boxes are crated and wrapped in plastic for shipping ...
... then loaded on a truck to be sent to the airport and on to Israel
